Boscombe Down Circa 1985
Boscombe Down has to be one of most favourite airfields as you never quite know what is going to turn up. In the 80s many classic British aircraft were still flying at Boscombe and I was lucky enough to capture some of these on film. It is nice to know that all the aircraft shown still exist in one form or another although Comet XV814 has been reduced to just a nose section. I recently went to Bruntingthorpe and was pleased to see Comet XS235 Canopus undertaking fast taxi runs, it was like meeting up with an old friend.
